This session will focus on developments in litigation regarding the Public Safety Employee Benefits Act (PSEBA), with a special emphasis on beneficiary eligibility and case law interpreting requirements that public safety employees must meet to be entitled to PSEBA benefits. Attendees will learn about new appellate rulings that can help local governments control PSEBA benefit costs by identifying what events terminate responsibilities that municipalities have under PSEBA.
